CU Buffs favored to snag four
Per 247Sports and On3, the Colorado Buffaloes and new head coach Deion Sanders are favorites to land recent 2023 Notre Dame decommit Dylan Edwards, a four-star running back out of Kansas.
Edwards backed off his Fighting Irish pledge on Thursday and 247Sports’ Crystal Ball Predictions gave CU a 54.5% chance to land the No. 2 overall prospect in Kansas. Other suitors include Oklahoma (18.2%), Notre Dame (18.2%) and Kansas State (9.1%).
During his senior season at Derby High School, Edwards rushed for 1,900 yards and 32 touchdowns. He had committed to Notre Dame in August, though, following a 2,600-yard junior year.
The Buffs’ roster is expected to endure major turnover in the coming months, but Deion Smith and Anthony Hankerson enter the offseason as the lead backs.
The early signing period begins Dec. 21.
